California Thrasher

Another Back Blip.
We visited another friend today; he lives in a beautiful home high in the hills, somewhere between Carlsbad and San Diego. The area is a desert area with lots of huge rocks, beautiful cactus and many birds. I was in heaven with my camera in hand; I may have left my husband to visit while I wandered the landscape. There were hundreds of quail, white crowned sparrows and these California Thrashers. But I was warned not to wander too far because there were Bobcats and Mountain Lions around.  I will add a couple of extras in a few minutes of the other birds and rocks in his yard.
