Victoria and Albert

Our flight got in late last night so we decided to stop in London overnight.  In order to give us the chance to do something interesting without our cases, we booked into a hotel near King's Cross and so got the train from Gatwick to St Pancras.

This turned out to be a good thing, as we had all sorts of trouble with the flight from Malaga.  We were late leaving because of a problem with the cargo door, then the air bridge to get us off the plane stopped working.  They duly summoned some steps, only for them to get the air bridge working at the last minute so we were able to leave.  The trials and tribulations of travelling!

We spent the morning in London at the Victoria and Albert museum.  We were glad we avoided going to the popular places like the Science Museum and the Natural History museum as there were queues halfway down the street - it was of course half term!

We got really confused after coming out of the museum and trying to find our way back to the tube - they closed the underpass so we had to make our way overground to the station.  I guess there were just too many people!

We left London on the half two train and got home in Leeds just before 6pm.
