Tropical memories

It's perishing cold again, a day to stay indoors and to think of warmer times and climes. So, in my mind I am off to Bali and since the Easter eggs will soon be in the shops my blip for today is a Balinese egg.

The goose egg was painted in Bali by a skilled young artist blessed with the steadiest pair of hands that I have ever seen. He painted evocative Balinese scenes with the smallest of brushes, most consisting of little more than a single hair. Eat your heart out Carl Gustavovich Fabergé!
