FLOWER FRIDAY

You may have seen my blip for last Friday (taken in the howling gale) asking for someone to identify the flower - to no avail.  I decided to go back up the road and knock on the door to find out about the plant.  Ron and Annette were very friendly and said it is a 'Butterfly Plant'.  I managed to take a photo of the whole bush (in Extras).

I snapped one of the pink (Annette called it 'white') shown here in the blip (you are able to see it in the bottom right hand corner of the Extra).  It is the same variety of plant.
When I googled Butterfly Plant it came up as a Gaura Butterfly Plant.
It appears to be different to other Butterfly bushes.  Annette mentioned that she cuts the bush back (and that will happen soon) - it grows back for next year. 

Played golf this afternoon - a twilight competition.  A nice walk spoiled by poor golf.
