The One and Only ....

... flower spike that the yellow cymbidium orchid has produced this year.  It was looking lost amongst a thicket of green leaves, so I cut it and it will be floating in a bowl of water so we have a chance to admire it.

The only outing today was to the vet so the cats could have their jabs.  They were not impressed at being stuffed into their carriers and are not speaking to us now. I trust all will be forgiven when I feed them.
