Old and the new

Spent a lovely sunny day in Hythe by the sea. With a deep blue cloudless sky, no wind (or mud!) and continuous sunshine it could have been summer.

Had coffee on the terrace overlooking the sea at our favourite brasserie. Walked along the seafront and checked out the new housing development behind the old fishermen's huts. For between £495000 and £1.3m you can buy a property adjacent to the firing range and backing on to some industrial units, but with a view of the sea. In my extra is a modern fishing hut located next to the development where you can sit outside and eat food prepared inside. A few people were doing just this, and enjoying the mild weather.

Good lunch in a Nepalese restaurant and the afternoon spent walking along the Royal Military Canal to Sandgate and back via the sea.

May this weather please continue.
