Chasing the shadows

A trip to Otricoli today to visit some artist friends. The old town was full of beautiful architectural details. Real "shabby chik ", with the usual Italian eclectic range of styles and historical periods.The roman carvings, lintels and pillars repurposed and randomly embedded in walls. Ancient brick matched with modern concrete blocks, in a patchwork British planners and building inspectors would have apoplexy over.
