Just Pig

A good start to the day with an enjoyable pack walk at Norman's Bay beach at low tide. (Video on Facebook) Dave is something of a scaredy cat dog aroooing at things, which in his opinion, don't look right. Things which bothered him today were sea foam, broken groynes poking out of the sand, a man carrying a fishing rod and a lady without a dog. We forded a water outlet about ankle deep which tiny Emily had no problem with but Martin had to go back to rescue Dave as he wouldn't cross it by himself.

Once the dogs were settled at home we decided to implement our plan of getting them used to just one of them going out if the right occasion arose. As Piggy is the most energetic we smuggled her out by herself. She was a bit lost to start off with as the last time she went out alone was to the vet's to be spayed about a year ago.

Once she realised she was getting sole attention she enjoyed herself and needless to say was enthusiastic about a second walk. On the way home we took her into the garden centre cafe. As all the other dogs there were sat or laying on the floor I realized how spoilt she is as she was sat on my lap.

It's been a quiet afternoon with happy, tired dogs giving Martin the chance to service his electric bicycle while I finished my book.
