Englishman in the Balkans

By BalkansDavid

Through the Window.

After yesterday's brief trip to London, today has been spent relaxing and enjoying a great time catching up with family members.

"Builders Tea", lemon drizzle cake and a fruit of the forests flan.

When families that are normally scattered geographically get together, the small talk or "chit chat" flows as if they were never apart.

Stories get picked up from when they last ended, updates are told in the most enthusiastic ways.

As I look out from my daughter's kitchen to the world outside, it's like I never left to live somewhere else.

That doesn't mean of course, that I want to return permanently.

Living in the moment means exactly that.
