Party at my house!

So we hosted around 30 youngsters, the vast majority girls, for a joint sixteenth birthday party this evening. Muchas preparation, muchas removal of breakable objects of which there are a considerable number, notification of neighbours of probably loud ‘bangerz’, son luckily by design had a sleepover away.

So many warnings from friends and colleagues of dire riots and general mayhem. Madame and I , cowering out of sight upstairs, occasionally appearing to advise of second toilet, reading to a largely entertaining mix of what the kids are listening to these days.

It took me back I must say to the marvellous times at similar parties at that age. La vie devant soi and all that
