TRAVELLING HOME PART 2

We were very reluctant to leave this lovely hotel.
#thought our lovely comfy car deserved a blip too...1,600 miles done!!
#Volklingen famous for its ironworks is definitely not the most picturesque place! It was snowing as we left!!! We stopped in Luxembourg for breakfast..no snow.
By Belgium there was lots of snow again!!! As we approached Dunkirk the sun was out and it was much warmer!!! The town was not great...lots of construction work but the beach was lovely and full of people enjoying the sun. We struggled to find somewhere to eat but eventually had a fab meal in a new restaurant.
We paused to remember the history of this area.
We were more than an hour early for our ferry but the slow processing and volume of cars meant we missed our ferry....so frustrating.... but we heard snowfall in Luxembourg had closed the airport so we counted ourselves lucky.
