Cousins

Supposed to be doing a ride today at Blidworth. Got to yard at 7.30am, got all loaded up and ready to set off then Buddy managed to rip his shoe off on the ramp of the horsebox. Really was the last straw after Fridays bad news. I just wanted to have a really nice day out and forget about things, but no. It wasn't to be.

Mum, Peter, Rachel and the boys arrived after lunch. We went up to Billa Barra. Alf did well today and managed a bit of tea - turned his nose up at salmon but likes the cheap nasty dog meat from Aldi! Basically I bought loads of different stuff just to try and get him to eat something as he barely ate anything yesterday. This is so so hard and the worst possible timing with Henry's birthday to get thru next weekend. Wish I could restart 2018 with a different script.
