Waingawa River.....

.....in Masterton.

The Waingawa River is an important spawning tributary of the Ruamahanga River and can hold large brown and rainbow trout early in the season.

The upper reaches are within the Tararua Forest park where the river flows through a valley in a series of fast rapids and deep pools creating some good fishing spots. In the middle and lower reaches the river becomes braided, as seen here, and can flow over open farm land.

Looking a bit moody today with the cloudy sky over the Tararua Range and a touch of snow on the mountains. Enjoying seeing the willows in leaf adding that fresh vibrant green to the scene. The railway line is the main line to Wellington for commuters and also for freight.

This is a backblip.....during the time emotions were high, low and everything inbetween, it was a huge task to sort and empty the house ready for sale, we got there asyoudo but some days I just couldn't blip, so here I am, quite a while later......
