Fountains Abbey

Today's the day .......................... to listen to the experts

Will had a meeting today at the National Trust's Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal  Site - and because it was alright for me to go too - I did.

It is a World Heritage Site and a fascinating place to visit for a variety of reasons - but today, we had the added bonus of a guided tour by Michael Ridsdale, Head of Landscape.  We had access to areas not normally open to the public and lots of information about exciting things planned for the future.  It was a real treat.

And if I tell you that the password for the wifi in the Yorkshire Pub that we are staying in tonight is 'Theakston', you can imagine what a treat that is too ......................!
