Another Day, Another Portrait

A great day was had by all when we visited Jyoto Shyogakko today. This visit was scheduled for last month but had to be cancelled when five of our Year Four pupils were away from school with influenza. We enjoyed making mochi and then eating it with zenzai for lunch. Then, in the afternoon, we had great fun learning a very effective technique for drawing portraits, which we then decorated with our choice of kanji and printed with a stamp made for us by the Jyoto pupils. A wonderful souvenir and lots of wonderful memories to go along with it.
