Well on the road to recovery

One of the principal purposes of our trip was to visit my friend of almost 60 years (we met at secondary school in Cardiff). He had a stroke just before Xmas and was lucky to be found quickly and helicoptered to Geneva hospital. Until the end of last week he was in a rehabilitation facility in Evian where he received daily physiotherapy and occupational therapy, and psychological support. His progress has been remarkable and it looks as though he will make a full recovery.

It just shows you what can be achieved with bloody-mindedness (of which he has no shortage) together with timely and intensive support.
