An empty beach to play on.

Continuing our tour of the island by car, we drove to Cala San Vicente. The pretty seaside resort is accessed via a sinuous road that winds its way through the hills to the north of the island. Here the sea can be seen far below as the road descends towards the sandy beach beyond the promenade.
We walked and in S case hopped along the promenade and sat for a while watching the clouds as they slowly parted allowing the warm sun to break free.
We spotted a cafe at the far end of the beach and so returned to the car and drove to the car park serving the bar and local hotels. We bought some drinks, chatted to the woman proprietor and watched two young boys digging sand with broken tree branches. As the sun dipped in the sky we drove back along the twisty roads to our apartment.
