The finest Roman theatre in the West provided first class seating for an audience of ten thousand. Entertainments were held frequently for the whole of the population. The different classes in the audience were, of course, segregated.

The remaining figure, pictured, is that of the Emperor. When Emperor's changed, a new head would be created in Rome and sent with all speed to replace the old one.
