Memories!

I was in Rutherglen today at the library. On the way out I passed the display about Cinemas in the Rutherglen area. I remember time spent in the Rhul (our local), the Odeon, Rio and the State. The only building which is recognisable of its history is the Odeon which is now a Bingo Hall - although I think there is something of the Rep building left. 6d was the entrance fee for National Cinema Club in its early days - can’t remember what we paid in the 50s
