Who knew that a misplaced return could post a blank entry?

Anyway, brewing. My nice Belgian pale. 6.4% but deceptively, dangerously drinkable. There's always about 5 litres left at the bottom of the pot once the tank is full and today was no exception. Usually it just gets poured away. Too much hassle to wring a wee drop of beer out of it but today I was reminded that there was a packet of different Belgian yeast and those dregs could be an experiment comparing the different yeast with the usual. Yeast has a significant impact on the flavour and if the different yeast is better then there's also significant savings to be had. This one comes in 500g bags. The usual is only in little 11g sachets that cost twice as much. Its wee nappy will keep it warm and out of the light.
