Love Is Louder

It was great in the middle of a hectic day, to wander along to the final celebration event and prize giving for our annual Festival of Angels. The purpose of the event, over several months to challenge hate and divisive voices by involving people from many backgrounds in thinking, talking, singing, drawing, eating and of course making and displaying Angels.
There was a fabulous display of papier-mâché Angels each with its own message from the maker.
The words covering this angelinclude: “felt ever so sorry for himself”, “cheer up! cried their father”, “nasty! muttered her brother”, “carried her”, “never actually said a word”, “worth much more”,”that frightened her terribly”, “ashamed”, “something dreadful happened” ... “On Thin Ice”.The anonymous dedication read: “My angel is a thank you to Rotherham Samaritans. Sometimes you you need someone to listen.”
