Snow In Summer

The heavy clouds lifted to reveal snow on the mountains. I went on a Blip trip before breakfast, which was not soon enough. The dusting on the lower slopes was evaporating in the summer sunshine faster than I could photograph it. There's more to see full screen.


Today is the seventh anniversary of the most devastating of the big earthquakes to hit Christchurch. Much progress has been made in rebuilding the city, but there are still a lot of people waiting for their house repairs or rebuilds to be resolved.
