Non-plussed!

Poor Bonny isn't quite sure about the sparrows besieging her at her breakfast!  There really isn't anywhere I can feed her that they can't get to - other than in the satsumary (tiny, pretend orangery, otherwise known as the back porch)!

There are feeders in the front and back garden, but there are so many birds.  There can quite often be 20 - 30 sparrows in the front garden, together with half a dozen starlings, several collared doves and odd dunnocks and blackbirds, all competing for food. Occasionally the sparrowhawk zooms through and scatters the lot of them, but it rarely catches them.  Tiny wrens and our resident robin stay close to the wall, safely out of the way.

Working for H in the afternoon, and I got to drive the tractor!  We work well together and I'm learning her routine so I can step into the breech if needed.  After we'd got all the jobs done, we went out for a ride but it was very chilly in the icy wind!  It made your ears ring, it was so cold, but the mud had dried up enough to be able to great to get some good canters in.
