Common Enchantments

The beach

Today we went to Three Sister Spring at Crystal Springs to see the manatees..alas, the unseasonably hot weather made the manatees move out to cooler locations!  We did get a nice walk at the spring, see the extra for a photo.

We decided to head over to Cedar Key for lunch at Tony's ( a restaurant in a building built in 1880 which survived Hurrucan Irma last fall) where we had the best clam chowder ever!  They can the chowder in their own processing plant so I ended up with six cans to take home!  It is that good!

We walked around the town to the dock where we saw that an old building that was near the dock was completely gone...only the pilings remained. There were buildings still being repaired from the hurricane including the ones next to this private beach which appeared to be apartments or condos, maybe a hotel.  My kind of beach town..you can walk almost anywhere or rent a golf cart. Nothing like the mass traffic jam that I had to deal with Bradenton and Sarasota!

We were gone most of the day!  Three dogs were very excited to see and get a walk around the block!  Tomorrow we make our way home. It was nice visiting with Joyce and seeing her new home.  A perfect place for her!
