Parkland bridge

I was early for a hospital appointment so I took a detour on the way there to Ashtead Park. The original house is now a school and there are extensive playing fields. An exclusive private road runs through the area with expensive homes. I parked for my blip, and was intrigued to see that one of the stones placed to stop traffic going on the sweeping verges was carved (see extra). I wonder where it came from. The old parish church nearby is still standing, so it isn't from there. My blip shows a bridge on the road which goes over a dry gully.

Lunch today with a group of Normous' former workmates. Lots of reminiscences from a long time ago.
