wrench

This weekend we are in St Helens, visiting D's parents. We left very early and drove to Lockerbie station as a beautiful red dawn lightened the eastern horizon. It was Jess's first time on a train and once she accepted that not everyone wanted to make friends with her, she settled down and had a peaceful trip. The extra was taken at Wigan, where we changed trains.

D took a shine to this wrench from his Dad's workshop. He got it when he was an apprentice in the early 1950s. We read about the  King Dick company which was founded in 1856 and still makes tools in Birmingham.
