Rough glass

I was planning to lead a walk for my walking group today. However my cold got worse again, and as it was a damp cold day I thought it best to sty indoors. Mrs P led the walk for me.

While confined indoors last week I did manage to do some useful things, and one of them was to research tripods and order one to replace my rather wobbly inexpensive one. Practicing with the new tripod, this is a view through my study window, taken with my best telephoto lens. The window glass predates modern float glass, and it might even be over 100 years old.  I have got used to the ripples in the glass, exaggerated by the telephoto, and prefer the old panes to the ones that have been broken and replaced.
