Rapt

Mixed up day....long phone conference in the morning, then some pleasing progress on various things, then funeral for Nick....lots of his old departmental friends as well as arts people there. Home briefly before going to exhibition opening- here the audience watching the film attentively-drinks and chat then nipped out for fish and chips before going to the after party in the old fire station. Caught up with some people we’d met in Venice, as well as the artist’s lovely mum and dad, but too loud for us old people so we headed home to watch some tv and drink tea.
Inordinately hungry all day....need to get myself back in shape a bit.
Trouble finding a holiday place....apparently the brilliant one I found is too far for some to go
