A walk in the park

We have Sutton Park practically on our doorstep here where we live. 
It is a 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve, owned by Birmingham City Council.
We went for a walk this afternoon, in the sharp clear light of the last weekend in February. The daylight hours are now increasing noticeably. March is waiting in the  wings. The coming week is expected to be one of the coldest in February for 5 years. The wind certainly seems to come straight from Siberia!    
In a sheltered spot the sun feels warm. And I, for one, am longing for the Spring.
