It was great to see the Canada Geese back in the garden on the river bank this morning, in fact they stayed most of the day pecking at the grass and resting.   I heard them fly off just before dusk.   They visit every year for a few weeks but choose to build a nest and raise their family further downstream, where they probably feel more secure.
