Woodpecker on a Tree

The relentless rain could not keep the Pileated Woodpecker team from the tree climbing competition today.  Willie has an excellent chance of the gold medal in the biathlon - climbing while drumming on the tree.  The female team has yet to make an appearance.  The sounds in the stadium indicate that they are somewhere in the vicinity, no doubt warming up and trying to stay dry.
