Head for them hills

We abandoned any hopes of getting to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas and left the Pacific coast, heading due east, inland towards Three Rivers at the entrance to Sequoia National Park.

Had to search for a Radio Shack as something was playing up with my video camera. I had to buy a new battery and probably a charger. Had taken along three bits of photographic equipment - an analogue video camera, my old analogue Olympus Camera and the company's digital Kodak camera which stored the photos on 3.5" disks (wonder how many remember those things!)

We had the misfortune to see an Outlet store. I need say no more but we came away hours later with a boot (trunk) full of clothing!

Lots of driving, lots of Taco Bells seen but none tried! Miles of orange plantations, Not wonderfully beautiful scenery but still spectacular and above all else huge.

By evening had reached Three Rivers, right on the edge of the Sequoia National Park. Had done about 170 miles.

Found a nice quiet motel and did some evening wandering around and boulder climbing. Wonderfully quiet and relaxed place. Guess being midweek there was less happening.
