Blooming marvellous

Now l wish l had bought more of these hyacinth bulbs ... they are completely stunning l think. I prefer the hyacinths that are a bit more sparce with their flowers like these ones and the colour is drop dead lovely (in my opinion!).  

Today has been gloriously sunny and happy since Scotland did so well in the Calcutta Cup.  Also this evening was the village quiz.. the prize for winning is to set next years quiz... so.. we tried really hard and came... wait for it.. 

second!!!  YESS!!!  We are very pleased with that result since at supper we were joint first!!  So next year we can go again and take part in the quiz which is what we enjoy doing rather than setting the quiz and feeding 30 people!!  Much more fun!
