Who Ate All the Pies

I am staying with my mother and today was another opportunity to catch a few pie making tips from a maestro.

Always fascinating.

Top tip was using a "pie lift", a ceramic object a bit like an upturned egg cup (also could be shaped as a blackbirds beak).

This keeps the pie crust from touching the filling, be it meat or otherwise.

I have only recently started pie making so all help, tips and tricks appreciated.
