Looking for a way down.

This is Beinn Sgulaird. A nice little munro near Oban.

I have had one or two better days on the hill, but not many.

The snow was old and icy and solid, which was a good thing for bum sliding. However the first descent I thought my walking pole would provide adequate braking power. I was wrong and my descent was suddenly arrested by some rather sharp rocks. I will Blip the bruises later in the week.

After that we got the ice-axes out and carried them practically back to the track.

The views across Scotland were incomparable, and one day I will learn to take sun screen, even in February, even in Scotland.

Colin, Davy, Dan, Frank and me. Good craic and excellent weather. Could not really ask for more.
