Sunday morning soccer

Torn today between another shot of Landon or another shot of Chris. In the end Chris won out with an action shot of him shielding the ball at an early Sunday morning game near Carlsbad. After the game it was time to watch Landon participate in a water session for babies and young children.

Landon obviously enjoyed the session which involved him almost floating on his back and also being ducked under water much to his mum’s discomfort! Double sets of nappies prevented any mishaps!

Next up was a visit to Pizza Port, a vast, busy noisy emporium devoted to craft beer and pizza. A fine selection of craft beer, made on the premises, helped wash down a very good pizza. Landon had milk of course, and slept off the exertions of swimming regardless of the sounds around him.

We went on to the coast at Carlsbad State Beach in the afternoon while the family went home. We were hoping to walk along the beach or path above the ocean but ended up walking through an RV Park which, despite the time of year was well populated by RVs of all different sizes along with a few tents too. We arrived back at the car just as the sun was setting over the Pacific. The day was rounded off back with the family for dinner, Grandad doing the honours in getting Landon off to sleep on my shoulder and getting him into his cot. Unfortunately I didn’t set the sleep button for long enough as he woke half an hour later for more food. At least it gave us time to have our dinner in peace.
