Chain Bridge across the Tweed

Taken about 2pm this afternoon, while our Morris side were involved in a support capacity for a BBC Sport Relief stunt.
We did one dance for "filler" shots, then after about an hour or so we became rent-a-mob on the bridge, to encourage a guy (Scottish comedian or presenter, or of that ilk) who was swimming across the (tidal) river. It was blooming freezing, but at least it was mostly sunny!

For those who asked, I also took a selfie in my hat, and another few on the bridge.
The bridge itself is very interesting, and dates from 1820. It was the first to be built in that fashion, and was designed by a naval chap, who based the linkages that support it on the moorings for shops. It is in dire need of repair just now, and there is a campaign on to secure funding.
