DEFYING THE COLD

The sun awoke us, and we saw a white world outside. Only one centimeter thick perhaps, but it looked so pretty.
A quiet morning for us.
After lunch we decided to walk to Wuergassen, the path along the river Weser. well wrapped up we descended the hill.
We had expected to feel the cold wind, but we didn't.
When we arrived at Wuergassen I suggested to walk a bit further along the river. One find there more inlets and along the shore grows reed.
The reed looked so beautiful with the ice shapes around the stems.
Little fields looked so magic, but I could not find the magic back in my photos.
We talked for a while with a farmer, who was busy to give his sheltered sheep and goats some water, and ice. He had a lot to tell us.
We walked till the end of the village, where the manege is. The windows all closed with shutters, too cold for the horses to put their heads outside.
The fresh cold air did us good. Somehow the wind did not blew towards us on our way back. And because of the cold we now drink hot Gluezauber, a kind of non alcoholic punch.

I will give my first silly hearts tonight to PamelaJ, tlde, loveeveryminute, Tigger101, and Yorlshirebred.
