A literary guilty pleasure

In chronological order... obviously.

I'm probably the only person of my age that loves these books. I was first introduced to them when I stayed with my Great Aunt May as a kid and for some reason I loved them. 

I have a whole shelf dedicated to Miss Read - some of these belonged to my Aunt and I've gradually bought the rest from charity shops over the years. I've been thinning out my books (again) today but can't part with any of them.
