A place in time

Aberfeldy 12 year old

This made me chuckle - My Boy testing "the nose" on a freshly opened bottle of Aberfeldy 12 year old single malt whisky.  According to the book he was reading, the palate was listed as: Emphatically clean fruitiness.  Tangerines.  Trifle sponges.  While the finish was listed as: Like biting into a kumquat.  Dusty.  Spicy.  Gently warming.

Where do they come up with these ideas?  Trifle sponges and a kumquat?  It puts me in mind of that famous Gin advert: Garden party.

Thought for the day:

"A good man can make you feel sexy, strong and able to take on the whole world, oh wait, sorry...that's wine, wine does that."  (Some-e-cards.com)
