The J's Hospice...

So it was back over to Witham for a second day at The J's and to finish off the first stage of the database mapping project preparing to migrate our records to the Havens Hospices system... there's still plenty to do before that is done and dusted.

The caption for the photo is  That's Sue in the Middle! At lunch time we had a bit of a pizza feast to wish Sue well as she leaves The J's, her actual last day is tomorrow but for a number of reasons we did this today and I'm glad because it enabled me to be there for it.

Sue has long looked after the 'business' side of the charity and until recently, fundraising too. It was her energy and dedication that took a very small and almost unknown charity through the £1 million barrier and helped to gain the recognition and respect The J's enjoys today.  I've worked with Sue for about 10 years and have nothing but respect and admiration for her and her many achievements... A great colleague and friend.
