Primroses and Icicles
We went to retrieve a massive rope from the shore between Dun Haunn and the Point. Fantastic icicles tumbling down the rock face. Frozen rock pools. And the tiniest little Primrose flowering a few inches away in a nest of last summer's long grass. We couldn't reach the rope as it was lying across outlying rocks.
Frozen water tank on the hill to our house and half the cottages. Frozen water tank on the hill at Haunn to the other half. Sun shining. Bitter wind.
As I turn our heating on I am thinking of those who are sleeping rough across the country, hoping that they can find shelter from this extreme cold.
