Another small bird

We've been away for a few days in Venice, to celebrate the imminent arrival of my state pension!

We visited one of the Murano glassblowing factories and bought this small glass chicken to go with our small bird collection. She's not sure what to make of her new friends, though they seem quite interested in her.

We seem to have timed the trip well, as the weather was dry and sunny, though of course quite cold. We had some snow on our last day which delayed our return flight. I was quite worried about the drive home from Gatwick but despite all the extreme weather reported on the BBC weather app we saw very little snow, and with very light traffic we got home just after midnight. We've been out this morning and got supplies in - good job as it is snowing quite determinedly now. We were due to go to the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury  this evening but we are going to give it a miss. I rang the theatre and they said 'the troupe had arrived' so the show was going ahead, and it only seemed to be raining there at the moment, which I find hard to believe.

I have lots of catching up to do on blip, and over 400 photos to sort through and back blip. Should keep me busy for a few snowy days!
