Geese plus Deer

Having been to the DIY store and filled up the car's tank, we thought, well, we're out anyway so let's go and see if those elusive geese are about.
Did we find them? It the words of "Fluff" Freeman, "Not arf!"
I spotted a few in a field so we stopped and had a look - Goose Central! there were 8 to 12 hundred sitting around fairly quietly and, as we watched, another 3 or 4 hundred winged in. We also spotted a huge skein of around a thousand more but they winged off further up the Carse.
After almost and hour we were fro-o-o-zen and decided we had seen enough. A couple of hundred yards up the road the hedge dipped and we spotted a couple of roe deer sharing the field with the geese. We stopped again and eventually spotted some four or five deer quietly grazing beside the deer. The above is not as good as I had hoped but it is the best I have, sadly.
