Where's Darcy?

This silk ballgown, decorated with sequins, dates from the early 1800s and belonged to a member of the Parker family. They lived in Saltram - a huge and elegant house near Plympton, Devon - for over 300 years. The property now belongs to the National Trust and a visit there today made our supermarket shopping trip a bit more entertaining than usual.

I'm trying to work out how the wearer danced with that train. Maybe she looped it over one arm? The dress is so tiny, though - we really have grown as a race over the years.
