I could NOT hazard a guess how long these have been in the house and never worn. Alice took a fancy to them, just in case, a number of years ago. They earned their keep today; if only for stopping me going base over apex while de-snowing the 4-6" of 2 day's snowfall. I felt vastly more secure than I otherwise would on slightly packed slippery snow.
