A slice of Lesley's life

Life skills

She may have spilled a little but she definitely can’t be faulted for enthusiasm. Hopefully she was equally enthusiastic with her earlier tap exam.

Before that there was a trip to the hairdressers for her for a trim and an extraordinarily impressive French plaiting. And a dog walk for me, Carl and the adorable but unbelievably stupid doggy one who nearly got herself trapped in a frozen pond. Literally no survival instincts at all. None. We should take out platinum membership with the RNLI.

And after that there were a couple of shopping trips for food as I embark on the reduce plastic mission that is seemingly going to involve a lot of changed behaviour that is currently not at all incorporated into our lives and may take some time. And J collected his glasses so we are now a 4 glasses household. Oddly J has a similar prescription to me and glasses similar to Carl’s. And Anna has the opposite.

Families are weird.

Speaking of which my folks turned up mid afternoon after an intrepid train journey from the Midlands. And since then it seems to have been mainly red wine, curry and cards. Accompanied by some interesting musical choices as everyone took turns DJing. And plans have been sort of made for our Welsh trip over the Easter holidays. Arcades and crazy golf may have featured quite heavily.
