The Beast has arrived

There was a little overnight snow (5 cms) and we decided to go for a walk on Corstorphine Hill before the red alert for snow arrived in the afternoon. We went by bus and walked back. There were a few squalls and the temperature dropped so the snow was very light and blew around in the wind. The blip is on the east side of the hill and shows the effect of the wind as the sledging party literally got cold feet and turned back. The snow really packed in late afternoon and Edinburgh went very quiet as people heeded the advice to not travel. However it didn’t stop A as he went out on his bike to pasta night in the evening. He said it was a bit difficult on the side roads.
Yesterday’s blip.
