Tales of the River Bank I

My plan this week (if the weather co-operates) is to spend a bit of time exploring some of the Thames Path - today Oxford to Abingdon.

I know this bit of the river quite well - and this is one of my favourite turns. 

Rose Isle now has a private house on it , although at one time I gather it was another of the regular riverside watering holes (The Swan Hotel).  It's a lovely spot.
