swimming

Yesterday, Sarah registered for a competition called the Seahorse Swim. It takes place in July so she needs to start training! This afternoon she and Luke swam 1,125m in the Dumfries pool. The pool is in the car park of the ice rink..a "temporary" arrangement put in place when the local sports centre was closed for repairs almost 4 years ago..How the DG One Leisure centre dream crumbled.

Later in the day we went to visit our friend Virginia, who celebrated her 90th birthday last May. She recently bought some fish to keep her company. The one in the middle is called Stanley, after the explorer, as he seemed the most adventurous of the three when put into the tank.

Back home now, Sarah and Luke have just embarked on a 2000 piece puzzle which Luke bought in the Oxfam shop this afternoon. It might take some time...
